Briar Bay Golf Course is a par-31 Executive Golf Course, built on thirty acres, eight blocks west of US 1, north of SW 136th Street. Designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge, and built in 1974 by Real Estate Developer Alec Courtelis, it opened for play in January of 1975. The Parks Department acquired Briar Bay in 1979 and has operated it since that time. The course ambles west, north, east, west, south and finally east again as it winds its way back to the clubhouse. Briar Bay Golf Course has over forty thousand rounds of golf played each year. It is popular with top players and beginners alike, offering something for everyone.

Country Club of Miami is comprised of two beautifully manicured Florida golf courses, with lush fairways, and 36 championship holes. A Robert Trent Jones design, the club was founded in 1961, with Arnold Palmer as its first professional. As Country Club’s most famous member and resident, comedian-actor Jackie Gleason played host to celebrity golfers including Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Jack Nicklaus played his first professional tournament and Lee Trevino won his fourth professional at the club.

Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the island paradise of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami. It is the perfect alternative to civilization where you can spend a day enveloped by the tropics. Crandon Golf is an explosion of color and light surrounded by water, mangroves and lush, tropical foliage. Secluded and inviting, Crandon is the only public golf course on Biscayne Bay. Crandon was the site of the Senior PGA Tour for 18 years, attracting golf’s greatest players.

Greynolds Golf Course

Greynolds Golf Course provides a 3,100-yard challenging layout. This par-36 course, designed by Mark Mahannah in 1964, is one of the county’s most popular nine-hole designs for all levels of play. The course offers electric carts, reasonable green fees, and club rentals. A spacious clubhouse welcomes players to relax before and after matches. Friendly golf shop staff will assist players with tee times, rental equipment and merchandise. Single rider carts for persons with disabilities are available (24-hours advance notice required).

Palmetto Golf Course

Palmetto Golf Course is a Par-70 Championship Miami course, built on 121 acres, running parallel to US-1, south of SW 152nd Street. The 18-hole course, designed by Dick Wilson and built in 1959 by developers Porter, Russell and Wagor, was purchased by Miami-Dade County in 1967. This facility has a serpentine canal system that flows across and alongside tree-lined fairways, making this an attractive, as well as challenging course to play. The golf course also offers a 22-position, lighted driving range, lighted putting green, a spacious clubhouse and a fully-stocked golf shop. Equipment rentals are available. Golf lessons, clinics, and junior golf camps are offered by Crandon Golf Academy. Lunch, refreshments and dinner are served at the on-site Sports Grill on the Green.

Miami Beach Golf Course was originally opened as Bayshore Golf Course in 1923 as part of pioneering developer Carl Fisher's ambitious Alton Beach subdivision that was designed to lure wealthy winter residents from New York, Indianapolis and Detroit. The City of Miami Beach hired Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates for the latest and most extensive transformation. The once tired and under-utilized Bayshore has now become the elegant and highly regarded Miami Beach Golf Club.
